This is a portfolio of my prints made at the Dartington Print Workshop. The inspiration for my work comes mostly from sacred myth and story. My plates are mostly linocuts and some collagraphs and are all printed on handmade paper with water based inks and then handpulled using various presses.

Demeter is often described is the goddess of the harvest, but also presided over the sanctity of marriage, the sacred law, and the cycle of life and death. She and her daughter Persephone were the central figures of the Eleusian Mysteries. The initiation mysteries were dominant for 2000 years and were based on the myth of Demeter and her daughter as archetypes of life, birth , death and transformation.
THRESHOLD OF HERMES – (variation)
MABON 2012 – THRESHOLD OF HERMES The time of the 2nd harvest , a time to store crops, pick berries and fruits , drink wines and give libations to the Land. Hermes is the God messenger that walks between the worlds . He holds boundaries and thresholds. His altars bore both male and female genitalia and his sexuality is often seen as bisexual. To honour this his ‘winged sandals’ are the ones Vivienne Westwood designed. Hermes corresponds with The Green Man and is one of the Gods honoured at Mabon.
